Falloutis one of Bethesda’s most beloved franchises, and from the reception of the newFalloutTV show produced by Amazon, this shouldn’t come as a big surprise. The show is the game series' first dive into the sphere of television, and it has been amazing.
With the show’s addition to the franchise, Bethesda is celebrating across the many different Fallout games,includingFallout Shelter. InFallout Shelter, players can get characters from the TV show (such asLucy,The Ghoul, andMaximus) as Dwellers in their Vault. Here’s how players canget Snip Snipto join their ranks.
Who Is Snip Snip in Fallout?
Snip Snip isa version ofMr. Handy, the franchise’s helpful robots that can be found all over the Wasteland. This particular model was located inside a store known as Super Duper Mart. Once the fallout happened, Snip Snip became the servant of Huey and Squirrel, the two who set up shop in the supermarket. When The Ghoul runs out of vials, he takes Lucy to the Super Duper Mart, where he trades her to Snip Snip. After leaving, Snip Snip tells Lucy that he is going to harvest her organs before knocking her out.
Luckily, Lucy is able to stop Snip Snip from this by overloading his systems with a shock from a defibrillator.
How to Get Snip Snip
If players want to obtain Snip Snip, they will need to do a bit of work. Since he is one of the characters from the “Power Struggle” questline, which was added to celebrate the TV show, players will need to work on the questline for a bit before unlocking the ability to obtain him. Players will need to unlock Lucy, The Ghoul, Maximus, and Ma June before being able to reach the area that Snip Snip is in.
Once players finish the quest “All Killy No Filly,” they will unlock Snip Snip’s quest, which is entitled “Snipping Coupons.” In the quest, Lucy (and whatever Dwellers sent with her), will head to Super Duper Mart and meet Snip Snip. They can then ask him to head back to the Vault with them, adding him to the Vault’s ranks of Mr. Handys.
Players can also obtain Snip Snip bypurchasing him with real money. To do this, head to the in-game shop and scroll down to the Mr. Handy section. For $0.99 USD, players can buy one Mr. Handy box, and for $3.99 USD, they can buy 5 boxes. Each Mr. Handy box has an 8% chance of being a Snip Snip.
Is Snip Snip Worth It?
Snip Snip is identical to Mr. Handy in every way except for its appearance. These robots willcollect resourcesfor you from the floor they are located on, and they can go into the Wasteland to collect items. Additionally, they can be revived for 2,000 CAPS if enemies attack and kill them. This means that Mr. Handys themselves are extremely useful, but it isn’t worth it to spend money trying to obtain Snip Snip just for cosmetic purposes. If players specifically want Snip Snip because of the show, the quest will allow them to easily obtain him.
