How to Beat Drayton in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Drayton has a full team of Pokemon with many different resistances and weaknesses, while the most common weaknesses areIce,Dragon, andFairy. Types like Water, Ground, and Electric have to deal with a few Pokemon on his team and some immunities. Drayton also has well-put-together moves that cover his team’s weaknesses, so bringing a well-rounded team will make this challenging battle easier. It is worth noting that Archaludon has the most resistances of Drayton’s team, but Drayton willterastallize it into a pure Dragon-type.
More Drayton Tips
He leads off with Flygon and Dragonite, who complement each other. Flygon can cover Rock and Electric Types well and Dragonite with Ice Spinner and Thunder Punch covers Flygon nicely as well. If possible, aim to take out Dragonite before setting up Tailwind.
As the battle progresses, his Pokemon will prove to be powerful, but sticking to the proper type matchups and avoiding letting his Pokemon deal massive amounts of damage withSceptile’s Dragon Cheerwill ensure your victory.

Upon defeat, Drayton will reward you with 12,800 Pokemon money (or 20,400 with the use of an Amulet Coin) andTM 226: Dragon Cheer.
