In a screenshot from the game, it’s possible to see the character, who is named Rick Roll and has a striking similarity to the real-world singer, talking to professor Fig. Rick Astley became one of the most famous memes of the 2000s when someone took his 1987 music video “Never Gonna Give You Up” and made it a bait and switch link. People would click on the link thinking it would lead to something, only to be “rickrolled” when it actually led to his video.
In the comments of the Reddit post, some users made fun of the character, saying that they actually thought it was the comedian Conan O’Brien or the fictional character Tintin.
