InMax Payne 2players are uncovering the murder of a womanin New York Citybut like any game inspired by a Film Noire, it can never be that easy as an in-depth love story meets incredible action-packed gameplay. Even though the title was originally released in 2003, it’s still a much-loved game.

The Film Noire-like action combat all started with the original Max Payne and players controlled the undercover police officer himself as he is forced to protect himself after he’s framed for a murder he didn’t commit. Created by the Rockstar New England team,Bullyis essentiallyGrand Theft Autowhile in school. It follows a delinquent boy named Jimmy Hopkins after he is abandoned by his family at Bullworth Academy; a boarding school filled with hilarious and awkward moments.

InBullyplayers are left to take classes and show those at the school who the real boss is as Jimmy works his way up the school’s hierarchy. There are all sorts of things to do as players are left to roam the school as they please, there is even a world outside the Academy to explore as players progress the story inBully.

Surprisingly beating both the original and secondMax Payne, the third and final game of the franchise sees many more players fall in love withthe action-shooter title. Max is no longer a New York cop, he has escaped to Brazil and seems to be down on his luck but continues to be a phenomenal protagonist in an incredible game.

Rockstar Studios themselves developed this title which was then published by Rockstar Games; even with a different team dedicating their time toMax Payne 3, this game continues to prove itself with its dark and twisted story. Even when it had finished many players found themselves begging for more.

4L.A. Noire

Similarly,L.A. Noirepicks up the mantle for a game that is designed to play like its own Film Noire. Developed by Rockstar Leeds and Team Bondi, players are in for a treat with this title as they take on the role of a detective in L.A. as he solves crimes.

There have been some intense murders happening in the city of L.A. and the murderer is still on the loose, Cole Phelps and his partner must work together to solve these crimes. While there are some action parts to the murder thriller title, the detective mechanics are by far its highlight. Players must pay close attention to the facial expressions of the people they question to see if they are lying or not.

Grand Theft Autois by far one of the most well-known franchises to be created by Rockstar Games, it has continued to be what has made the company a success and this wasn’t any different forGrand Theft Auto 4.

What makes the version available on Steam much better than the rest is the fact that it’sthe Complete Edition. This means that players don’t only have Niko’s story to discover but also the fantastic tales of Johnny and Luis as their stories have been woven together to create one of the greatest single-player experiences yet.
