Summary

It’s not surprising that a franchise as gruesome and riddled with crime asGrand Theft Autohas some of the worst deaths featured in gaming. In theGrand Theft Autoseries, many characters receive a grizzly death. Whether it’s a brutal shot to the head, tortured, bludgeoned to death, or somehow worse, rest assured thatGrand Theft Autohas done it, and will probably do it again.

Many characters have faced a gruesome end inGTA, but sometimes, it’s not just the way that a character was killed, but it’s who was killed. Sometimes a death is unjust and undeserved and leaves a sour taste in the mouth of the player who is forced to watch such a demise.

Gonzalez

In today’s terms, Gonzalez’s death may seem a little less than extravagant. Still, it was a pretty brutal death for one ofgaming’s early titles, but did Gonzalez deserve to die the way he did inGTA: Vice City? The mission itself begins after Tommy Vercetti is hired to kill Gonzalez, who has been known to have a loose tongue that could interfere in the drug business.

This isn’t just a usual assassination attempt. Instead, players are given a chainsaw to use, which will see them run around Vice City, slashing at the air as they chase down Gonzalez. The fact that Gonzalez wascut down by a chainsawin the middle of the street shows how brutal the drug business can be.

molly on her phone

As Devin Weston’s lawyer, it’s no surprise that Molly Schultz has some pretty grizzly secrets. She takes care of the majority of his business, thanks to her role as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of his industries. She would see her end after she stole a copy of the film that Michael and Solomon Richards produced together.

In her unwillingness to give up the film, and Michael’s desperation to get it back, she was chased to Los Santos International Airport. Michael just wanted the film back, but Molly, concerned for her own safety, accidentally gets sucked into one of her jet’s turbines, causing her body to shred into millions of pieces and red mist.

Louise Cassidy-Williams

5Louise Cassidy-Williams (GTA: Vice City Stories)

The protagonist ofGTA: Vice City Stories, Victor, seems to have gotten himself in quite the situation, one that involves an abused woman who just wants to take care of her infant child. Victor got himself into a relationship with the survivor, but sadly, fairytales in Vice Cityjust do not seem to last.

Louise Cassidy-Williams did not deserve to die the way she did, kidnapped and savagely beaten to death. Louise had a history of being kidnapped, and her fatal incident occurred by Armando Mendez’s men, in which they beat and shot her to death. With her dying breath, she asks Vic to make sure her child is safe and taken care of.

Roman Bellic / Kate McCreary

In the ending ofGrand Theft Auto 4, one of two characters can die depending on the ending players take. If players go for the deal option, then Roman will die. Yet, if they go for the revenge option, Kate will die. The reason these two are combined into one entry is due to the fact that neither of them deserves their fate, and yet only one of them can avoid it depending onthe player’s decision.

For Roman, to be killed on his wedding day, in front of his family, his cousin, is too tragic to bear. Yet the same could be said for Kate, who didn’t deserve this painful end. Whilst it’s no chainsaw, it’s still a terrible and tragic death that falls as another burden to Niko.

construction foreman

In the Deconstruction mission, a stubborn Construction Foreman of the Waste Ground Construction Site is making a name for himself. All this foreman did to catch the ire of CJ and Grove Street was act stubbornly to Kendl Johnson, the sister of CJ. Due to this act, CJ decided to act as any big brother would; burying the Construction Foreman alive in cement.

It’s a horrible and unjust way to go for someone who didn’t exactly do anything worth getting murdered over. The Construction Foreman was trapped in a portable toilet as CJ pushed it into a ditch, only to fill it with cement and let the Construction Foreman suffocate on drying cement. Either way, it’s an iconic mission froman iconic series.

Trevor Philips in promo art for Grand Theft Auto 5

2Trevor Philips (GTA 5)

Maybe Trevor Philips deserves his death inGrand Theft Auto 5. Perhaps that’s up to the player who chooses to go with the Option A ending ofGTA 5. In this ending, Franklin and Michael are tasked with killing Trevor, and they will do so in a gruesome fashion. Not only do they mess him up pretty badly, but they end up burning him alive, watching him burn to death before Franklin or Michael decide to put him out of his misery with one last bullet.

It’s a horrible death, but one that can’t exactly be undeserved. Trevor has killed his way through life, and if he was still alive, he would probably still be doing just that. Yet, is it still right to burn a man to death? It’s a cruel way to go, even for Trevor.

Johnny Klebitz GTA V

1Johnny Klebitz (GTA 5)

FewGTAcharacters deserve a fate worse than Johnny Klebitz. Not only did this character feature as a protagonist of his ownGTAgame, but he returned as acameo inGTA 5only to be brutally murdered. Not only was Johnny murdered, but he was made fun of, as his girlfriend Ashley Butler was having intercourse with Trevor before the President of The Lost MC interrupted.

Johnny professed his love to Ashley, just for Trevor to smash a bottle over his head and stamp on his head with his boot until his brains were stuck to his shoe like gum. It’s a horrible way to go, especially since fans actually liked Johnny, and not what he was turned into withGTA 5.
