The TCG game mode for HoYoverse’s popular RPG has regularly been updated since its debut in Version 3.3, adding new characters, cards, and challenge modes. Each new update typically brings a suite of new characters, withVersion 3.7’s update to the TCGearlier this year adding more than 60 new cards. Now, Genius Invokation TCG is preparing to welcome three new Character Cards to the game.
Version 4.2 ofGenshin Impacthas already seen multiple upcoming cards for Genius Invokation TCG leaked ahead of its release. A recent leak would reveal five new cards players can acquire to improve their decks coming with Version 4.2, including new Equipment Cards and Action Cards. The recently released Version 4.1 would also add a slew of characters to theGenshin Impacttrading card game in Dehya, Wanderer, and Yaoyao. Now, Version 4.2 is bringing both Sumeru characters and a popular Liyue cast member to the TCG.

An update shared byGenshin Impactleaker himo_sino revealsthree new character cards coming to Genius Invokation TCG. The update will reportedly introduce Character Cards for Baizhu, Dori, and Nilou to theGenshin ImpactTCG. The post does not reveal any information about any of the characters’gameplay within Genius Invokation TCG, only revealing their icons from the in-game deck builder. The three Character Cards are expected to be available with the launch of Version 4.2 and can be acquired by challenging the character with a Match Invitation Letter.
While the leak does not share any details about the gameplay, each character will likely be based on their playstyle withinGenshin Impact. Baizhu is expected to debut as a healer card, using his Skills to heal and shield allies. Nilou will likely be a major boon to teams built around the TCG’s Bloom mechanic, being a staple ofBloom-focused teams withinGenshin Impact. Dori may also play a supportive role within the TCG, using her Jinni to deal damage to enemies as well as heal and restore Energy for her allies.
Nilou, Baizhu, and Dori will join a TCG roster that already spans much ofGenshin Impact’s playable cast. Each patch has added a plethora of new characters to the TCG, typically adding up to three characters with everyGenshin Impactupdate. The TCG even includes several in-game enemies and bosses, likethe Fatui Agent and the Oceanid, as playable characters unlockable through the game mode. Players look to have multiple new options for their Dendro-themed decks in Genius Invokation TCG withGenshin Impact’s next update.
