This mysterious fairy-like being is introduced at the very beginning of theGenshin Impactstory, and she imminently becomes the main character’s sidekick in their quest to find their lost sibling. A Reddit user by the name kashenori has shared an interesting concept portraying the fan-favorite character Paimon as an adult.

The Adult Version of Paimon Inspires Hopes of More Character Development
As the main NPC in the game who serves as the face ofGenshin Impact, it is not surprising that Paimon has a significant role to play during the player’sjourney to the world of Teyvat. She appears in almost every cutscene in the game and whenever players enter the game’s menu Given the character’s popularity, it makes sense that the concept was well-received among the game’s fans, and it gathered over 3.3k upvotes. Redditor kashenori is known in the community for making numerous pieces of art featuring characters from various gaming franchises, and this one is especially memorable.
Multiple replies in the comments section claim that they would love to see a similar character in the future, hoping that a figure like the one in this concept joins the playable roster. Even though she is probably the most popular character in the game alongside Aether and Lumine, theofficialGenshin Impactstoryhas not revealed much about Paimon. A popular fan theory states that Paimon will actually be the last villain players will face in the game, though it remains to be seen if this will come to pass.
However, before her fight with the Traveler, Paimon would probably take another form similar to the one shown in kashenori’s art. Fans claim that Paimon’s often seems kind of out of place inGenshin Impact’s storyline, and she is mostly used as Aether’s and Lumine’s spokesperson. A big part of the community has requested thatHoYoverse needs to treat Paimon as an actual characterand give her some personality without treating her like a running gag, like her being the Traveler’s emergency food.
The fact that there is so little information about Paimon means there is a perfect opportunity for HoYoverse to slowly reveal more details about her true motivations. While fans believe her overall character development should see drastic improvements, Paimon’s behavior inGenshin Impact’s recent major updateseems to be a bit more realistic, which is certainly a step in the right direction. Given the love for this concept, clearly many are interested in seeing this character evolve.
