WhenGenshin Impactplayers first visit the Temple of Gurabad with Jeht, the center area will be filled with sand, and the only Chess Piece that can be seen is Deshret’s Glass Goblet Chess Piece. However, after venturing with Jeht and Azariq, a mechanism will cause a change in the courtyard, where the sands are swept away, and what’s left is a sight of a giant Chess Board. The removal of the sand also opens access to Liloupar’s Cell where players will eventually meet the Jinni.
The Chess Board has apparent blue lights that, when approached, players can place Chess Pieces on it. There are a total of five Chess Pieces inGenshin Impact, and here’s how players can find each of them.

How To Get Every Chess Piece In Genshin Impact
Each Chess Piece inGenshin Impact3.4 Sumeru is found along a chain of World Quest. There are a total of five Chess Pieces to collect:
After all the Chess Pieces are collected, place them on the Chess Board in Safhe Shatranj to trigger theApocalypse Lostquest, where Liloupar will return to Gurabad and bid farewell to the protagonist.
Placing all the Chess Pieces also allows players to findGenshin ImpactActivation Devices. There are seven Activation Devices in total, each rewarding a Remarkable Chest. After all seven Devices are restored, players will get an Achievement worth fivePrimogems.
King Deshret’s Pillar - The Temple Where Sand Flows Like Tears Quest
King Deshret’s Pillar Chess Piece can be found inThe Temple Where Sand Flows Like Tearsquest. After freeingGenshin ImpactLiloupar from her cell, an Exquisite Chest will spawn beneath her tree.
Border Fort - Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part I Quest
The Border Fort Chess Piece is found in theGenshin ImpactDune-Entombed Fecundity: Part Iquest.
Soulferry - Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part II Quest
Meanwhile, the Soulferry is found on thesecond part of the Dune-Entombed Fecundityquest.
Khaj-Nisut - Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III Quest
The Khaj-Nisut Chess Piece is found after players attempted to open the ancient gate inDune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III.
Unlike the other four Chess Pieces that are found inThe Dirge of Bilqisquest chain, the Temple of Gurabad Chess Piece inGenshin Impactis found inThe Falcon’s Huntquest.
After players finished The Dirge of Bilqis, approach Jeht the next day to trigger theRejoice With Me, For What Was Lost Is Now Foundquest. This will lead players to try and fix Benben. Afterward, speak to Masseira at the Tanit Camp to trigger the Falcon’s Hunt quest chain.
