A newGenshin Impactanimated short has revealed more details about the backstory of the upcoming five-star Pyro user Arlecchino. This popular character was introduced back in 2022 as one of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, a group of high-ranking officers who work for the Snezhnaya Archon Tsaritsa.
Arlecchino also played the role of the main villain inGenshin Impact’s ongoing Fontaine arc, which introduced tons of new characters. The official storyline has confirmed that Arlecchino manages the House of Hearts orphanage, which raised many notable Fatui members, including The Knave herself.
Genshin Impact’s official YouTube channel has released a brand new animated short called “The Song Burning in the Embers” that goes deeper into Arlecchino’s backstory. The start of the video shows Arlecchino arranging a funeral for a spider, which many fans find symbolic, considering thatrecentGenshin Impactleaksrevealed that one of her boss phases was inspired by spiders. The footage also shows Arlecchino killing a red-haired character who used to be one of her childhood friends. The animated short got a lot of attention in the community as it gathered over 400k views in just a couple of hours, with many fans praising the attention to detail shown in the video.
The video also confirmed that Arlecchino defeated one of the former Harbingers, the previous manager of the House of Hearts orphanage. This opened a position in the organization which was offered to Arlecchino by theDirector of the Fatui known as Pierro. Many fans appreciate that HoYoverse included Scaramouche in one of the scenes, showcasing his appearance in distinctive white attire, back when he was associated with the Fatui. The trailer also reveals that the children in the orphanage refer to her as “father,” even though she doesn’t view herself as male, because past trauma causes her to dislike being called “mother.”
Genshin Impact: Arlecchino Release Date and Combat Role
The recently held livestream event has confirmed that Arlechino will be released in the first phase of the upcomingGenshin ImpactVersion 4.6. She will be placed on the same banner as one of her children, Lyney, who is scheduled to receive his first re-run after being released back in the first Fontaine update.
Regarding Arlecchino’s power on the field, she is confirmed to be a powerfulDPS character inGenshin Impact. Her playstyle revolves around a unique mechanic called Bond of Life, which boosts her damage output while also limiting incoming healing effects.
