A hilarious new video shows aCall of Duty: Warzone 2player attempt to pull off the sort of epic stunt typically reserved for big-budget action films, only to meet with an unexpected and amusing end. Fans of the Battle Royale shooter recently saw developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software release anupdate forWarzone 2meant to fix a host of ongoing issues with the game.
Released in late 2022,Call of Duty: Warzone 2is the venerableCall of Dutyfranchise’s second foray into the Battle Royale genre. Although many fans of the firstWarzonewere skeptical about the sequel, unhappy over changes to some gameplay mechanics and the move to the new Al Mazrah map, the sequel was generally well-received by players and critics upon release despite the presence of some occasionally frustratingbugs inWarzone 2. The addition of the new survival-based DMZ mode drew particular praise for breathing new life into the series and providing a welcome alternative to the traditional Battle Royale gameplay.

In a new post on the r/CODWarzone subreddit, user Deydeycarve shared a hilarious video of their botched attempt to pull off an epic move inCall of Duty: Warzone 2. The video shows them running along a seaside road on the Al Mazrah map when they spot an enemy cruising on one ofWarzone 2’s speedboatsin the distance. Spying the opportunity for a truly epic ambush, Deydeycarve jumps off the terraced roadway and opens their parachute, gliding at full speed towards the enemy vessel. Cutting their parachute as they zero in on the speedboat and clearly expecting to deliver unexpected death from above, Deydeycarve is instead instantly and unceremoniously dispatched by the speeding watercraft.
Redditors responding to the clip found the unexpected ending hilarious, with several comments stating that they were convinced Deydeycarve would pull off their epic ambush right up until the speedboat scuttled the plan. SomeWarzone 2players were amused by the fact that the player on the speedboat probably had no idea what happened, with one comment noting that the enemy player was almost certainly confused when random kill XP suddenly appeared on their screen. Other Redditors noted that the clip highlights the inconsistency of vehicle damage inWarzone 2, stating that they either “run you over instantly or they just push you.”
Even though Deydeycarve found themselvesswimming inCall of Duty: Warzone 2’s watery depths rather than adding another kill to the scoreboard, they still deserve credit for their audacious attempt at getting the drop on their opponent. If nothing else, this hilarious clip may cause someWarzone 2players to think twice before hurtling themselves towards a speeding vehicle.
