WhenFortnitelaunched Chapter 2, it completely changed the shape of its battle royale map. This saw the removal of many fan favorite locations, including the likes of Tilted Towers and Loot Lake. However, someFortnitebattle royale map locations remained mostly untouched in the transition to Chapter 2, like Pleasant Park, for instance. However, a recent change to Pleasant Park in the battle royale map may hint that Pleasant Park could very well be up next on the chopping block.
The recentFortnitewinter festivitiessaw the battle royale map covered in snow, but now that snow has gone, some fans have noticed Pleasant Park covered in dust. The dust hasn’t appeared for all players, and seems to happen randomly, so there are some who think it’s actually just a visual glitch as opposed to a genuine tease from Epic Games.

However, those who have been playingFortnitefor awhile will know thatEpic Gameslikes to tease upcoming map changes in-game, and something like this would usually be on purpose. We can’t say definitively what it means at this point, but typically things like this lead to a location being transformed in some way or being completely removed from the game.
If Pleasant Park is being removed fromFortnite, it seems likely that it would coincide with the start of Chapter 2 Season 2.FortniteChapter 2 Season 1has been going on for quite some time, but it’s finally set to wrap up in February. It should bring with it some dramatic changes toFortnite, like every other season has in the past, so fans can expect a lot more changes than just Pleasant Park being removed.
Another change that could come with the start ofFortniteChapter 2 Season 2 is the re-introduction ofvaulted weapons and vehicles. Alternatively, Epic Games may stick to adding brand new weapons, vehicles, and other items toFortnitewhen Chapter 2 Season 2 starts next month. Really the possibilities are endless, though fans shouldn’t expect a change quite as drastic as the transition from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2.
WithFortniteChapter 2 Season 2 set to start in about a month, fans should keep an eye out for more subtle changes on the battle royale map. Clues for what Season 2 will entail should start appearing in the game over the next few weeks.
