AsFortniteenters Season 2’s last month, it’s introducing new content and events to lead into its next season. The game’srecent addition, the Party Royale mode,has been particularly popular. By allowing its fans to stop fighting and hang out during social distancing,Fortnitehas been more active than ever. And now, developer Epic Games is ready to unveil the stars of its next big concert.

Fortnite’s Party Royale Premiere concerts have been some of the most successful events in the game’s history. Most recently, theTravis Scott concert set a new concurrent player recordas millions tuned in. In a recent tweet, Epic announced that its next concert was coming on the heels of another new milestone.

According to the developer, over350 million players have now registered forFortnite.Epic also celebrated the fact that players spent 3.2 billion hours in the game during April. To celebrate, the developer announced that Deadmau5, Dillion Francis and Steve Aoki would be performing in the next Party Royale Premiere on May 8 at 9 pm, Eastern Standard Time. On its website, Epic gave more details about the event. Players who come to listen or dance will receive Neon Wings that react to in-game music. For players who are unable to make the Friday night concert, the developer will also offer a rerun the next day from 2 to 3 pm EST.

With live events liketheFortniteWorld Cup cancelled,these in-game concerts are in line with Epic’s promise to focus on producing online events. The Party Royale Premieres also allow the battle royale to continue luring in new players. By crossing over with both characters from beloved franchises and memorable celebrities,Fortniteis able to stay in the public eye and keep fans interested in its newest mode. These continued collaborations are a smart move that work out for both Epic and its players.

As Season 3 ofFortnite’s second chapter approaches,Fortniteplayers have plenty to look forward to. Outside of more concerts, the battle royale may be ramping up for itsnext big superhero crossover with Aquaman.Hopefully, Epic’s work to draw new fans to the battle royale will also create exciting new gameplay for its community.
