Final Fantasy 14has brought back the Callback Campaign–a special promotion where players can invite their friends who haven’t logged in for a while. If the player accepts, both the recruiter and returner will receive some fantastic free rewards for theirFinal Fantasy 14accounts.
TheFinal Fantasy 14Callback Campaign has already begun and will run until September 30. Participating is easy and is done through the game itself. Through their friends list or Free Company roster, players can select the “Invite Friend to Return” option. As long as theplayer has purchasedFinal Fantasy 14and has an inactive subscription for at least 90 days, they will receive an email inviting them to return. The email will also show the recipient which players invited them to return, as well as what worlds they reside on.

Players who accept this invitation will receive 14 days of free play time, starting when theyfirst log in toFinal Fantasy 14again. They will also get 99 Aetheryte Tickets, which can be used to waive the fee for Teleporting across the game world. Finally, they get 10 Silver Chocobo Feathers to exchange for pieces of gear to ease the leveling process.
If one of these players purchases a subscription within 90 days of returning, the recruiter will receive five Gold Chocobo Feathers–a special currency that can be turned in for special mounts, including the Twintania wyvern mount, the Managarm hound, andthe two-seater Amber Draught Chocobo. Both Gold and Silver Chocobo Feathers can be exchanged from the Calamity Salvagers found in the three major cities inFinal Fantasy 14.
Unfortunately, theseFinal Fantasy 14mountsrequire more than five Gold Chocobo Feathers–getting all three mounts requires 31 in total. Players can only receive a total of five feathers in this promotion, even if those feathers were from a previous run of the Callback Campaign. Luckily,Final Fantasy 14players can earn more Gold Chocobo Feathers through the always-active Recruit a Friend Campaign.
Players are often excited to see the Callback Campaign return toFinal Fantasy 14. The Gold Chocobo Feather mounts are all extremely popular–especially Twintania, an infamous raid boss who tookFinal Fantasy 14players months to defeat for the first time.Final Fantasy 14also recently released Patch 6.2, titledBuried Memory, which added a whole new chapter to the Main Scenario, as well as a new raid tier and a new trial.
