How to Use the Ammo Converter in Fallout 76
Once the Ammo Converter is placed in the CAMP,interact with its Terminal and exchange ammo for AmmoPoint. For that, have all the unwanted ammunition in the personal inventory, identify the bullet type, and click “Sell.” To buy ammo, specify the type and amount of bullets and select “Buy.”
The current AmmoPoint cap is 100,000, meaning players cannot stack up points beyond that. If the limit is reached, they must unload some of the AmmoPoints at a Converter, or else the machine won’t work.

Because the Ammo Converter is not player-exclusive, it can be shared with others. All players’ AmmoPoint data are accessible via any Converters in Appalachia regardless of the owner.
The Ammo Converter comes in two pieces: The converter and the Terminal. Interacting with the former, the converter part, is pointless as it only repeats an animation. To convert their bullets, players must use the latter, the Terminal.
How to Ge the Ammo Converter
To get the Ammo Converter, buy its plan from Mortimer at the Crater Core orMinerva at her spawns. The cost of buying the blueprint from Mortimer is 1250 Gold Bullion. But Minerva offers it for 938. Another alternative is purchasing the Ammo Converter from the Atomic Shop for 500 Atoms.
After learning the plan, craft the Ammo Converter at the CAMP using five Copper, Circuitry, Glass, Gear, and Steel.
Regardless of the method, players can only get one Ammo Converter plan. But there’s no limit on how many they can build.
Things to Know About the Ammo Converter
The initial release of the Ammo Converter was rather controversial. Most players found it unusable, with many others struggling with its bugs. Butthe recent patches have improved the device, and it’s now a must at any CAMP.
