According to Yellow Bricks Games, Brynn will have an arsenal of spells and magical weapons that can help in combat. The game is set to incentivize the use of the environment during fights, such as covering behind ice during a fight against a fire-breathing dragon, for example. At the moment,Eternal Strandsdoes not have an official release date.

It’s not surprising to seeEternal Strandstaking a lesson from the latestZelda.Tears of the Kingdomwas a huge hit, selling over 18 million copies so far, and was greatly praised for how adaptable and creative its gameplay was. By mixingZelda’s design philosophy withMonster Hunter-like combat, the upcoming action-adventure may likely attract a large audience with its emergent gameplay.

WhileEternal Strandslooks like a great mixture of quick-paced action with physics-based gameplay, old-school BioWare fans may notice that the word “RPG” is not used to describe the game. Laidlaw was mostly known for his work in theDragon Ageseries, one ofthe most popular RPG seriesever made, so it remains to be seen how the influence of this genre will be in the final version ofEternal Strands.
