FromSoftware’sElden Ringhas proven to be a massive success. To date, it is both the highest-rated new video game release of the year, and the best-selling game of 2022. Even so, there’s always room for improvement, and FromSoftware has continued to releaseElden Ringupdates in an attempt to make the game even better.Elden Ringupdate 1.06 is available now, and it is a game changer for those that enjoy PvP and co-op multiplayer.
After downloadingElden Ringupdate 1.06, fans have the ability to send their summoning sign to multiple areas in the Lands Between. This is a huge quality of life improvement, and in theory, it should make it significantly easier to get into co-op games with other players. This way,Elden Ringplayers don’t have to guess where they will most likely be summoned for co-op play, and can instead be summoned in an area where players are in the most need. The only placeElden Ringplayers can’t send their summon sign to from a distance isMohgwyn Palace.

Besides improving co-op,Elden Ringupdate 1.06 also improves the PvP experience. From now on,Elden RingPvP players will be able to invade across a much larger distance, which should make it much easier to get into PvP battles with others.
Elden RingPvP is an important component toWhite Mask Varre’s quest, which tasks players with invading others. This may become more difficult the further we’re removed fromElden Ring’s launch date, as fewer people will be playing the game over time. As ofElden Ringupdate 1.06, players will now be able to kill a new NPC to advance White Mask Varre’s quest, removing the need to invade real players.
It’s clear that these big changes toElden RingPvP and co-opwill be game changers for fans of the game, but especially for those who are late to the party. There aren’t nearly as many people playingElden Ringnow as there were when the game first launched, which is natural for a standard video game that’s not a live-service. This makes it more difficult to enjoy the game’s online multiplayer features, but the changes made in update 1.06 should go a long way in future-proofing the game, ensuring thatElden Ringis still fun to those who are just discovering it for the first time.
