Elden Ringis a massive game full of interesting characters players can meet. Many times theseElden Ringcharacters are found in fixed locations, but other times they move around the game world. One such NPC is Tanith, who is the head of Volcano Manor. Please note that this post will have someSPOILERSforElden Ring.
Elden Ringplayers will reach Volcano Manor and speak to Tanith fairly late in the game. Upon speaking with her,Elden Ringplayers can get a special questline where they are tasked with making three specific Invasions and killing certain NPCs spread across theLands Between. Successfully doing this will allow players to skip a large section of the Volcano Manor area and head straight to the boss fight with Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy.

After killing Rykard and speaking with Tanith again,Elden Ringplayers will discover that she is no longer in her usual spot inVolcano Manor. This may be confusing to some, especially those who wound up defeating Rykard before completing Tanith’s Invasion quests in Volcano Manor. While Tanith may have moved, she is actually pretty easy forElden Ringplayers to find as long as they know where to look, though anyone hoping to finish the rest of their Invasions will be out of luck since killing Rykard effectively ends the quest.
Elden Ring: Where Does Tanith Go?
When Tanith has disappeared from Volcano Manor,Elden Ringplayers can find her by fast-traveling to Rykard’sSite of Grace. Here they will witness a rather grisly sight, as Tanith is activelyeating Rykard’s head.
Elden Ring: Should You Kill Tanith?
For all intents and purposes, this is the end of Tanith’s quest inElden Ringand players can safely ignore her without worrying about it having any kind of impact on the ending. However, someElden Ringplayersmay want to know if there’s any benefit to killing Tanith. As it so happens,Elden Ringplayers can kill Tanith to get some rewards, and since it doesn’t really have an impact on what ending they’ll get, there aren’t any serious consequences.
If players choose to kill Tanith, they can then loot her body and face off against Tanith’s Knight. Tanith’s Knight will attack in the style of anElden RingInvasion, which is rather fitting if one considers the quests that Tanith had players complete.
After killing Tanith and her knight, players can get theConsort’s Setand Aspect of the Crucible: Breath items. Of course, those who aren’t interested in these can simply leave Tanith be while she eats Rykard’s head.
