In a fight against the Mimic Tear enemy in Nokron, Eternal City anElden Ringplayer decided to summon their own Mimic Tear and watch copies of their character fight.Elden Ringcan be played in a plethora of different ways. New Game+ is a way for players to experiment and mess around with a variety of ideas that would not be possible to achieve in one playthrough. Whether it is using different builds or getting two of the same weapon, New Game+ is always an adventure of its own. Players who suffer through the trouble of starting the game over still get the benefit of keeping their earned items from the previous playthrough.
The Mimic Tear inElden Ringis a novel and exciting concept. The fight against the Mimic Tear is a mirror match of sorts as the enemy will copy the appearance and equipment of the character. The fight against the Mimic Tear is optional but upon defeat it drops the Mimic Tear mask. Not only is this a stylish item, but it also increases the wearer’s Arcane stat by eight. Players on their first playthrough looking to grab the summon for themselves should continue past the Mimic Tear enemy to the Night’s Sacred Grounds. The item is locked in a chest behind an imp statue door.

In a video posted to Reddit, oneElden Ringplayer decided to have theirMimic Tear summon fight the Mimic Tear enemyfor their second playthrough. The user, who is known by the name ZeroSama420, can be seen sitting and watching the fight unfold right in front of them. They unequipped any weapons before encountering the enemy or summoning their own Mimic Tear. This meant that the fight was strictly hand-to-hand combat. This is a compelling idea that led to a very satisfying fight. The Mimic Tears chased each other, sometimes slamming each other with a two-handed slam or a one-handed punch. Unfortunately, ZeroSama420 had the Blessed Dew Talisman equipped meaning that both Mimic Tears were regenerating health slowly over time. This made it basically impossible for each Mimic Tear to kill the other due to the low amounts of damage being dealt and the constant health regeneration.
The player sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the fight to turn in favor of one Mimic Tear or the other but to no avail. The damage output was negligible, and the fight was heading nowhere. With each attack causing between one and four damage the two Mimic Tears could seemingly fight for an eternity without a victor being declared. Although some believe thebest summon inElden Ringis the Mimic Tear, it was not powerful enough to take itself down.
Elden Ringoffers numerous ways to enjoy the game and players are only limited by their creativity. Players should always testdifferent builds inElden Ringto fully experience the game’s potential.
