The news comes by way of Ryokutya V Jump Leaks and corroborates the idea thatGolden Frieza will be the boss of episode 2. At this point that much is all but confirmed, but these leaks go into more depth and share Frieza’s moveset.
Despite still not having an official confirmation from Bandai Namco, it’s been known for a while now that Golden Frieza would be the next challenge fans would have to face in DLC 2.Dragon Ball Z: Kakarothas kept fans in the dark for quite a while now, so many players have high expectations for this DLC.

For a time there was thought thatDragon Ball Z: Kakarotmight skip Golden Friezaand introduce Hit as the main antagonist of DLC 2, but now fans know that isn’t true. Regardless, taking a look at Frieza’s moveset can help to explain what fans will need to be prepared for in order to win this fight.
The image above lists his four major techniques as Golden Death Ball, Golden Edge, Golden Death Slicer, and Golden Rush. Of these four moves, two of them have been seen before, albeit without the Golden prefix, in other fights with Frieza. Both Death Ball and Death Slicer are signature techniques used byFinal Form Frieza 100% power against Super Saiyan Gokuand Mecha Frieza against Super Saiyan Trunks, and both are powerful. Death Ball is the familiar giant orb of energy that Frieza hurls at this opponent, while Death Slicer changes the camera angle to a top down perspective and makes the player dodge incoming discs from all directions.
Most likely, the Golden forms of these moves will simply be recolored and more powerful much likeFrieza’s Golden Form, but the other two moves remain a mystery. By the sound of it, they might both end up being physical moves, as Golden Rush and Golden Edge sound like melee attack techniques. Regardless, they are sure to heap on tons of damage if players don’t avoid or block them properly, so that will be something to watch out for.
This small bit of information isn’t much, but it does help tide fans over while they wait for an official announcement. With any luck,Bandai Namco will reveal DLC 2before the end of September, leading to an early-mid October release date. Until then, players might consider returning to fight Full Power Frieza on Namek with the time machine.
