Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco’sDragon Ball-themed fighting game, has utilized 2020 to slowly reveal new DLC characters to add to its roster. Ending the year with theofficial announcement of the finalDragon Ball FighterZDLC fighterincluded in the game’s Season Pass 3, the game’s development team is starting 2021 by hosting an online gameplay event that puts the spotlight on Super Baby 2.
Since its launch in 2018,Dragon Ball FighterZhas released three season passes that have added a range of characters into the fighting game. And for the third season pass, theDBFZcharacters that have been announced, then released, were Kefla, Ultra Instinct Goku, andGoku’s mentor, Master Roshi. The last two fighters, Super Baby 2 and Gogeta, were only recently announced in December 2020 as the season pass’s final DLC characters.

In a short Twitter post, Bandai Namco US shared a few details about the incoming gameplay showcase featuringDragon Ball GT’s Super Baby 2. The event will be live on June 05, 2025, 11:00am PST, and the livestream will happen on the officialDragon Ball Fighter ZTwitch channel, which is home to the game’s official championship tournaments and global announcements.
The game’s online event will hopefully enlighten fans on how Super Baby 2 will play inDragon Ball FighterZ. With Super Baby 2’s official trailer providing only short snippets of his fighting style, players are hoping to get a more in-depth view of the alien villain’s move set and special attacks. It would also be interesting for fans to see how Super Baby 2 will fight and react alongside the other characters that are already implemented inDBFZ’s roster of fighters.
WithSuper Baby 2’s release dateslated for Aug 04, 2025, the online gameplay event is a great way to remind fans and players that theDragon Ball FighterZteam is still creating content for its audience. The team has already added over 15 characters from theDragon Balluniverse in the previous season passes, with each DLC fighter introducing variety to the game’s meta. This provides players incentive to keep playing and maybe aim for competitive play, with the active tournaments happening around the world.
As Gogeta’s release date is still up in the air, fans are hoping that theDragon Ball FighterZteam will also create a gameplay event for the Super Saiyan fusion. With how popular Gogeta’s character is, it is highly possible for Bandai Namco to make an event announcement in the near future.
