Guardians from theDestiny 2universe are known for getting themselves into sticky situations, especiallywhen fighting the Darknessor in the Crucible. However, one player has found one particular position that no Hunter should ever experience.
In a post on Reddit, user u/retrorampage37 noticed that an image on theDestiny 2Eververse storefront pictured a Hunter with their leg clipping into their body, musing “why are you (Bungie) creating these unrealistic beauty standards for us hunters to live up to?” The image in question is for the Optimacy Set, an armor set from Year 1, and the kneeling Hunter on the right of the image is definitely putting it to interesting use, as the character model seems to be leaning into their own leg.

This visual bug most likely came from simply positioning character models into a playspace and then adding the armor onto them, but it will be interesting to see what happens when Bungie implementstransmogrification intoDestiny 2.Coming sometime afterBeyond Lightlaunches, every armor set will have the ability to become universal ornaments, for either silver or in-game currency. This change has been praised by fans, as Bungie is preparing to sunset certain armor pieces as Io, Mars, Mercury, and Titan are all heading to the Destiny Content Vault in November.
Destiny 2is known for its bugs and glitches, from UI and visual problems to game-breaking weapons and perks. Most notably, theexotic fusion rifle Telestohas been causing issues throughout the lifecycle of the game, with its unique perks clearly causing strife for the developers at Bungie. As recently as last season, Telesto was broken in PVP, causing one-hit kills anywhere on the body.
Hopefully, Bungie can continue to reduce the game’s issues asDestiny 2edges ever closer itsnext large expansion, Beyond Light, in November, bringing with it more gear to acquire. Weapons like Telesto may be broken for the foreseeable future, seemingly causing issues in every consecutive season in the game, and fans finding new ways to push the boundaries ofDestiny 2’s physics. With the developers testing unique and exciting armor designs it will be interesting to see if more fun visual issues like this in the future.
Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
