The Newsroom Hard-Case inDead Island 2can be unlocked with the latter method, but only after players have completed a specific mission for the keys to be available. This guide will show players the requirements to earn the Newsroom Hard-Case Key and where the case can be found to unlock it.

The Newsroom Hard-Case is located in the LA 24 News Building in the Ocean Avenue area, across the street from the Hotel Serling and thefast travel point. The locked case can be found on the second floor sitting on the floor in a conference room.
While the news building may seem like a maze of same-looking rooms, the conference room with the Newsroom Hard-Case has a table turned to its side almost barricading the doorway. Although, players will be able to get into the room with no trouble.
Players who visit the LA 24 News Building for the first time and stumble across the case will not be able to unlock it initially. The Newsroom Hard-Case Key will not be available until players complete theScooped side questthat takes place in the same building.
Once players have completed the side quest, they can return to the LA 24 News Building to find the special zombie named Talk Show Guest roaming the hallways of the first floor. The Talk Show Guest is aSlobber zombiethat can puke fire all around it, creating a hazardous ring of fire surrounding it.
It is best to take it out withranged weaponsand explosive Curveball items, considering its attacks will make close quarters combat highly unlikely due to the narrow hallways.Defeating the Talk Show Guest will drop the Newsroom Hard-Case Key. Players can then return to the Newsroom Hard-Case and unlock it to earn a Superior level shotgun that could have better stats than what most players would be carrying, but it is definitely better than the weapons found just exploring the environment.
