Cyberpunk 2077’s Kojima Easter Egg May Be More than Meets the Eye
to findCyberpunk 2077’s Hideo Kojima Easter Egg, players will have to be on the lookout during The Heist main mission in the game’s first act. During this mission, V and Jackie infiltrate Konpeki Plaza in order to steal the Relic fromYorinobu Arasaka, going undercover as Militech representatives in order to do so. When players first enter Konpeki Plaza, they are led to the hotel’s bar for an optional drink before heading to their assigned room, and players who take a moment to explore the bar will find the character Hideyoshi Oshima, modeled after and voiced byHideo Kojima.
If players stay a moment and listen to what Oshima has to say, they will notice he says some things that sound a lot like what the real-life Kojima might discuss. He mentions wanting to push the boundaries of whatbraindances are capable of doing inCyberpunk 2077’s world, saying that he is working with a team in Tokyo to capture and convey real, raw human emotions in his braindances. While BDs are a fictional medium limited toCyberpunk 2077’s universe, the details Kojima discusses in this dialogue sound like they could apply to his philosophy of game development.
