AGod of War Rangarokplayer recently went online to share a confusing clip of Kratos being killed by an enemy, then abruptly getting back up, refusing to die.God of War Ragnarokis a polished game but on occasion players encounter bugs that can be either comical, such asAtreus being stuck in a bizarre loop, or aggravating, such as a boss disappearing mid-fight. While many of the bugs are quick occurrences, some like this one leave players confused.
God of War Ragnarokhas been out since November 2022, and serves as the awaited follow-up to 2018’sGod of War. Since the game’s launch, it’s had several updates, including one that added aNew Game plus toGod of War Ragnarok. Players have shared a variety of bugs withinGod of War Ragnarokfollowing its launch. One player took to the internet to share a bug, which occurred during a fight with one ofGod of War Ragnarok’s werewolves, known as wulvers.

Reddit user NoaLukaL shared the thirty-second clip, which shows Kratos being killed in one of the brutal death animations featured withinGod of War Ragnarok. After the gruesome animation ends and Kratos falls to the ground dead, he springs back to life and continues to fight the wulver that had just killed him, as if he refused to die. The confusing clip is somewhat humorous, but also highlights a concerning bug other players have also apparently encountered. NoaLukaL seems to have appreciated the bug, writing “I mean, I guess I’ll take it,” in the clip’s caption.
Commenters on NoaLukaL’s post responded to the glitch with mixed reactions, ranging from confusing to outright amusement. One reply by NoaLukaL even goes so far as to quote Kratos, writing “Death didn’t earn me.” While many of the comments are somewhat funny a few mention they’ve seen the exact same bug in their playthrough ofGod of War Ragnarok, adding to a list of other known glitches, such as aglitch where the Berserker King randomly dies.
God of War Ragnarokhas been out for a few months now, and for the most part players enjoy a somewhat bug-free journey across the game’s nine realms. Despite the polished experience that Santa Monica studios provided players with the game, some bugs still unfortunately slip through the cracks, including abug that turns an entire realm white inGod of War Ragnarok. Although most of the bugs withinGod of War Ragnarokare harmless, some leave players a bit disappointed. Thankfully bugs like the on NoaLukaL aren’t game-breaking, and should be patched before too long.
