The Haunting of Verdansk event has begun with a new patch earlier today. This in-game event forCall of Duty: WarzoneandModern Warfareis bringing Halloween goodies to the store through an update on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.Call of Duty: Warzonefans should prepare, as Verdansk is in for a scare.

There is a lot of new content headed toCall of Duty: Warzoneduring this event. A brand new Nightime Battle Royale map has been addedalong with a new playlist for bothWarzoneandModern Warfare.New bundles have also appeared in the storethemed afterSawandTexas Chainsaw Massacre.

TheNighttime Battle Royale update toCall of Duty: Warzonewill add in some new challenges for players dropping into the match. Nighttime will make the game much darker, resulting in an increase in stealth opportunities. Thermal and night vision gear will also become more important while perks like Ghost and Cold-Blooded are sure to be rotated into set as counters.

If the darkness was not enough, a new Zombie Royale mode has been added, giving players a chance tosurvive Verdansk during a zombie apocalypse. This limited-time mode will allow the dead to return as zombies with increased speed, jumps, melee attacks, and thermal vision. Players have to survive as long as possible while the dead hunt the living.

The event is also adding anew Trick or Treat scavenger huntwhere players must find specially marked Supply Boxes scattered across the map. There are 16 total locations for players to trick or treat at, and collecting all of the boxes offers them a special bonus blueprint.

As forModern Warfare’sMultiplayer, a new playlist has been added called Onslaughter. This features abattle over a Juggernaut suitthat spawns randomly on the map. Players must advance towards the suit while taking on minigun fire as they try to bring down an opposing juggernaut and claim it for their team. This juggernaut, along with all juggernauts during the season, will come with a pumpkin head. Alongside this new mode are the playlists Gunfright and Halloween Moshpit, which are spooky variants of popular lists.

TheSawandTexas Chainsaw Massacrebundlesare officially available in the in-game store. Each of these bundles costs 2,400 CP, and both come with a total of 10 themed items including a killer skin.
