On June 5, Reddit user Wide_Riot posted on theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2subreddit, sharing a discovery they made while playing with the crossbow in the game’s multiplayer. According to the Reddit post, players cannot kill downed enemies by shooting them with regular crossbow bolts, allowing enemy players to revive themselves if they have Survivor as their Ultimate Perk. A drawback some players did not expect or know about the crossbow, prompting a friendly discussion in the game’s subreddit. Currently, this is not the only discussion happening on Reddit, as anotherCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2user shared an interesting fact about an operator.
Throughout the video, users can see how the player downs their enemy and keeps shooting at him, hitting him with multiple arrows without causing any damage and allowing him to use a self-revive stick and stand up again. This Reddit post prompted dozens of comments, making fun of the whole video and some arguing this has been happening for a while now and developers have not noticed or done something about it. Making Reddit users claim the game is still broken, despite having a massive budget and a staff of more than one hundred developers, startedanother discussion aboutCall of Duty’s current state.
Many Reddit users believe it’s a bug that has been happening for over a month, while others complained about the Survivor perk and how it affects the game, allowing unskilled players to survive situations that, without it, they would not have survived. Now players using the Crossbow may need to consider equipping a Semtex charge or a powerful secondary for finishing downed enemies until the developers implement theCrossbow buff many players want inCall of Duty.
