Even though the main attraction of theCall of Dutyfranchise is the Multiplayer and Zombie experience, that doesn’t mean that the Campaigns are something hardcore fans should ignore. In fact, players canlearn more about their favorite Operatorslike Soap and Ghost by playing the Campaign. But the truth is mostCODfans miss out on these excellent story elements in favor of the more exciting multiplayer experience.

That’s why Infinity Ward decided to switch things up by letting players play theCall of Duty Modern Warfare 2campaign a week before the full game launch so that players can experience it to the fullest. One gameplay feature that stands out is the ability to loot powerful weapons found in Safes scattered around different missions. So, players that want to take their gunfights to a whole new level will want to know thelocation and codes of these three Safes(as a bonus, finding and unlocking all three Safesunlocks the Gentleman Thief Achievement/Trophy).
We tried our best to avoid revealing any major campaign spoilers, but the location and explanation to reach some of these Safes may hint at some story-related spoilers, so players that want to avoid spoilers completely should be wary of reading further.
Safe One: Mission 11 - El Sin Nombre
The first Safe players can find islocated at “El Sin Nombre’s” homeduringMission 11of theCOD MW2campaign.Players can find the Safe in Diego’s room on the house’s second floor. There are several ways players can reach Diego’s room, but the following images show the most optimal and less “exposed” path. As soon as Soap puts on the mask, players should make their way to the compound’s main entrance, which is located to the left of the elevator.
Players should then pass an open gate where they’ll be able to see a balcony in which they can climb safely without getting unwanted attention. Once on top, players should make their way up the staircase until they reach a room.
There are two guards in this area, so players must take care of them before proceeding. Players should make their way past the stripper lounge until they reach another set of stairs, but instead of going down, players should pass them and turn right until they reach a room in front of an elevator.
Once inside the room, players must walk toward the bed, where they will find a closed closet. To unlock the Safe, players must input the code02-02-19; inside, they’ll find aLockwood 300 shotgun(one of the many revealed guns that will be available at the Multiplayer launch) and a bundle of Armor Plates.
Safe Two: Mission 13 - Alone
The second Safe is located during Mission 13, “Alone,” and can be found in anabandoned cafeshortly after obtaining the Lockwood 300 shotgun. There’s only one way of reaching this area, so players can follow the image guide to reach it. But, to access the room where the second Safe is located, playersmust have a Pry Tool which can be crafted with 1x Binding and 1x Metal.
Players can find all the necessary Crating Items (a new feature in theCODfranchise) within the cafe, but players should not jump down the hole located in the middle of this building yet, as it’ll lock them out of this area.

After disarming the Shotgun Trap, players must go up the stairs, where they’ll hear someone banging on a door. Upon opening the door, the player will find a wounded man who dies shortly afterward. After entering the following building, players should go towards the left side, where they’ll find a locked door which they must use a Pry Tool to unlock.
Once inside the room, players can see the Safe toward the right side of the room. To unlock the Safe, players must input the code10-10-80. Inside the Safe, players willfind a Throwing Knife and a silenced .50 GS pistol.
Safe Three Combo: Mission 13 - Alone
The third and final Safe is found not too far from the second Safe in aCar Repair Shop. Several guards are patrolling this area, so players must either eliminate them first or sneak past them. There are several ways to reach this building, but the one explained here showcases the safest route.
After players jump down the hole located in the cafe, they should head toward the left side of the area, where they’ll find a semi-opened door. After opening the door, players will see a white car. Players should now head toward the trunk of this car, where they’ll see a metallic blue door. Upon entering this building, players should head toward the elevated white car at the back of the room. Behind the elevated white car, players will find a room without a door where they will see the third Safe on the left side of the room.
To unlock the Safe, players must input the code37-60-80. Inside the Safe, players will find aThrowing Knife and a Crossbow.
