In a recent announcement, it was confirmed that the release ofBlack Clover: Sword of the Wizard Kinghas been delayed. Originally, it was planned to be released on June 28, 2025, onNetflixthroughout the world. The film’s premiere has been delayed until June 16th, 2023. According to a statement on the official account, the movie has been postponed because of the production delays caused by COVID-19.

While the news isn’t favorable, the delayed release could actually help the studio make the movie better. Yuki Tabata, the creator of the manga, is serving as the chief supervisor and character designer for the movie.The voice actors from the anime serieswill be reprising their respective roles in the movie.Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard Kingwill also feature new characters, including Konrad Leto, a former Wizard King, voiced by Toshihiko Seki. Marie Iitoyo will be the voice of Milly Maxwell, and she will be joined by Fumiya Takahashi, who plays Jester Galandros. Miyuki Sawashiro and Houchu Ohtsuka will play the roles of Princia and Edward, respectively. Treasure will be performing the theme song of the movie titled, “Here I Stand.”
