This interest is currently being met withFallout 4’s recent next-gen update, which has been met with controversy for various reasons. Meanwhile, Bethesda executive producer Todd Howard sat down with the Kinda Funny Games podcast, where he discussed the long time it usually takes his studio to make new projects. He notes that Bethesda’s main focus is to ensure that its releases are “of the highest quality,” but admits that he and the rest of the studio wish to find ways to increase its output.

Some of this output could include thefirstStarfieldDLC expansion, which Todd Howard revealed is coming out this fall. As forFallout, Howard hinted at the possibility of more spin-offs like 2010’sFallout: New Vegas, especially in light of the Amazon Prime Video series’ successful premiere earlier this month. However, Howard acknowledges that these projects take time, as much as he would like to “snap his fingers and have them all out already.”
That being said, Todd Howard and the rest of Bethesda seem to be looking into getting more games released in a more timely manner, which might be welcome news for gamers who are still waiting forany more information aboutThe Elder Scrolls 6orFallout 5- the latter of which was only confirmed by Howard two years ago.
