Updated on June 02, 2025, by Chris Harkin:The gaming industry moved towards allowing larger groups of friends to play together a few years back, and it hasn’t moved away from it since. Although single-player games are still common, many of the biggest successes in gaming today are coming from the varied world of multiplayer games that allow many players to team up and work together in some way. Stretching from puzzles to shooters and everything in between, the world of co-op goes from more traditional party games to those games with a much grander scale for serious gamers.
