Baldur’s Gate 3has broken records and barriers by bringing an interactiveDungeons and Dragonsexperience to thousands all over the world with next-generation consoles and PCs. Having recently released on PlayStation 5, the game enthralled players with the story, the secret hidden throughout the game world, and the character creation.Baldur’s Gate 3allows players to meticulously craft their desired characters with plenty of available options for class, gender, and race.
There is an extensive list ofcreation optionsfor racers, from Half-Orcs to Halflings, pulled straight from the pages ofDungeons and Dragonssourcebooks. However,Bladur’s Gate 3still has an extensive array of creatures and entities to draw from to provide the game with even more content. There are dozens of races still begging for theBaldur’s Gatetreatment that would make exciting additions to the game and provide even more ways to play.
8Kenku

The Kenku are a feathered race that possess the features of a raven or a crow. They have narrow, pointy beaks and dark-tinted feathers of dark purples, red, or overall black. Native to the Shadowfell, Kenku are a rare sight but a more than welcomeaddition to Baldur’s Gate 3. In the lore ofD&D, Kenku cannot speak on their own, but instead communicate by mimicking the voices and words of others.

Their unique communication skills would provide a challenge, but a fascinating one. As a character choice, the Kenku would bring a lot of options to the table for players, such as their specialization in stealth, sleight of hand, and other dex-based skills that would make them great rogues.
7Leonin
The Leonin is a vision of pride and strength, as it is a rare humanoid hybrid with a lion. Seen very rarely, Leonin are nomadic individuals who rarely interact with other creatures. Choosing one as aBaldur’s Gate 3protagonist would make a fun choice for players seeking something different.
The Leonin are fierce warriors that pack a punch, and would make great barbarians or monks. While the Leonin is not a mainForgotten Realms race, seeing a crossover with the MTG Arena team from Wizards Of The Coast would be nice.
6Aasimar
The Aasimar is a highly requested race for manyDungeons and Dragonsplayers craving more deity-related content forBaldur’s Gate 3. Aasimar are descendants of higher beings like gods or cosmic entities that have been imbued with some of their power.

They pull strength and abilities from the higher planes and are capable of many different play styles thanks to their subraces, which would make them viable with many different classes.
5Kobold
The Kobold is a small reptilian ball of chaos and teeth. As a playable race, they could make for an exciting addition to a party and a fun play style for a character.
Kobolds are red-skinned, scaly creatures with larger snouts and sharp teeth. However, contrary to their appearance, they are crafty builders and can most commonly be found in dungeons laying traps. A Kobold Ranger would be a fun play-through for that hundredthBaldur’s Gate 3save file.
4Changeling
The Changeling is another interesting pick for future content inBaldur’s Gate 3.Choosing this race would lean into theDisguise Selfability, as well as deception and stealth skills.
The ability to take the face of a fallen foe or a powerful NPC would make for a new way to advance through the game’s campaign. Changelings get specialization in deception and stealth checks, similar to Kenku, but obtain the shapeshift ability that makes them master infiltrators.
3Githzerai
The Githyanki have a strong presence inBaldur’s Gate 3.Alongside them, the addition of the Githzerai would not be as much of a leap as the other classes on this list.

The Githzerai are a more mysterious counter race to the Githyanki, who lean into their Psionic powers. With the heavy influence of Psionics in the game, the Githzerai could be a great class to make aDark Urge characterthat follows the path of the mind flayer.
2Goblin
In the early stages of Act 1 inBaldur’s Gate 3, Goblins are a dime a dozen. They can be mischievous enemies or friends, depending on the player’s choices.

Gaining the ability to be a Goblin in the game would make for some fascinating dialogue choices and interactions as players progres. The options of a Goblin playthrough are vast. Players could join the horde or go a different route like that of Griphook from theHarry Potterfranchise.
1Goliath
A Goliath may be one of the fan-favorite requests with the lack of more monstrous races in the game. The Goliath is a stalwart being of stone, descended from giants and carrying some of their strength and durability.
A Goliath fighter or ranger would be a force to be reckoned with as a battle master or Gloom Stalker. Fans of theCritical RoleYouTube series, as well as the animated show, would love a chance to bring Grog to life in their campaign.
