Unlike other Legends, Mirage has the uncanny ability of duplicating himself specifically to confuse opponents. Those that do end up getting bamboozled are in for a tough time, as Mirage and his allies can drop down and go for the kill. However, how else could players maximize his toolkit?

4Mirage: Confusion Is Power

Although classified as anOffensive Legend, Mirage specializes specifically in shock-and-awe tactics. Thanks to his illusion-oriented kit, Mirage relies on confusing opponents with his dummies and catching enemies off-guardwhile they’re bamboozled. Mirage might be a jokester, but opponents almost always have no idea whether they’re facing Mirage or one of his clones. Strategies when using him include:

3The Skills: All About Clones

Unlike other Offensive Legends, Mirage doesn’t have any remotely aggressive and damage-dealing to be worthy of the classification. Rather, he makes use of his clones to confuse opponents and take the opportunity to eliminate them fast and loose. At the hands of the right player, Mirage’s Skills can transform him into both an Offensive and Defensive Legend, depending on the playstyle used.

Passive: Now You See Me Adds Support Viability

Despite his status as an Offensive Legend, Mirage has hisNow You See Me (Passive)as a premier support ability. At its core, Miragecan turn invisible whenever he revives his teammatesand uses the Respawn Beacon. This is extremely viable in intense situations, especially when enemies are around the player. If players hide well enough, they can revive an ally and swoop in for the clutch.

Tactical: Psyche Out For The Bamboozle

Perhaps considered as Mirage’s primary ability,Psyche Out (Tactical)is his go-to Skill. When prompted, Mirage canrelease a clone of himselfto a particular direction and confuse the enemy. Mirage can even press a button to have the clone copy his movements.

While the decoy has pretty low HP, they do say an indication that they’re a clone once killed - prompting both Mirage and his opponents. It’s through Psyche Out that Mirage becomes the perfect saboteur.

Ultimate: Life Of The Party Maximizes Confusion

Considered as the sole ability that makes Mirage a grade-A annoying Legend,Life Of The Party (Ultimate)allows Mirage to release five decoys at the same time around him. All of these clones can be “controlled” and copy Mirage’s movements.

At the very worst, Mirage and his three teammates plus his clones and another active Psyche Out means there can be around nine players roaming around at once. In clutch situations, Life Of The Party can easily turn the tide in suspenseful combat.

2Legend Perks: Decoys For The Win

Introduced inApex Mobile,Legend Perksarespecial buffs and benefits that could be applied to Skills. Their benefits aren’t extremely large unlike in other games, and may seem minuscule at first glance. However, for long-term battle royale matches, Mirage’s toolkit can maximize these buffs to emphasize his role as a distraction in the battlefield.

Look Over There!

As much as Mirage is a deadly-efficient Legend, the fact remains that having to press a button to deploy a decoy is an extra step in the process of his toolkit. Thissplit-second can mean the difference between life and death, so it makes sense for players to be extra careful when using his kit.Look Over There!will try to ease this burden, as this Perk immediately deploys a clone when Mirage’s health falls to 50-percent.

This is extremely useful, especially since this is yet another extra decoy deployed in Mirage’s arsenal. Even in a solo situation, Mirage who waited to get to 50-percent health can deploy one clone from this Perk, another clone from his Tactical, and five more from his Ultimate - for a total of as much as eight Mirages roaming at once!

Bamboozle Cloak

If an enemy gets to shoot at Mirage’s decoy, chances are Mirage is already nearby and waiting. Enemies who have a sharp eye can spot players immediately after shooting the decoy, which means Mirage players ordinarily only have a few seconds to prepare for a shootout. Thanks toBamboozle Cloak, this time becomes extended. At its core, Bamboozle Cloak will turn Mirage invisible for two seconds after losing a cloak. This invisibility lasts for a whole two seconds or until Mirage shoots.

When roaming, this invisibility gives Mirage time to hide and catch enemies by surprise. And in combat, this gives Mirage an opportunity toreposition himself in large maps- be it to strike back at an enemy, or head to an ally who needs a revive. After all, if Mirage turns invisible when reviving an ally, an opponent chasing Mirage in Bamboozle Cloak may never be able to catch him turn visible in that gap!

Deadly Momentum

Given the lack of damage of Mirage’s Ultimate, it makes sense for Life Of The Party (Ultimate) to have a faster cooldown compared to other Ultimates. Mirage who gets to tap intoDeadly Momentumcan gain access to this already-speedy Ultimate more often, since this Perk gives him 50-percent of his cooldown whenever he uses his Finisher.

This Perk can motivate Mirage players to truly live to their Offensive Legend’s nature, and make more use of their clones. In the heat of the moment, Deadly Momentum transforms Mirage into a juggernaut. Imagine third partying two squads, and Mirage uses his Ultimate to confuse enemies with his clones. Being able to kill two opponents in the process gives him access to yet another batch of clones on the get-go!

1Weapon Loadout: Up Close For Surprises

Given the slight complexity in rotations in the mobile platform, Mirage players can use this opportunity to sow chaos and score kills. With that in mind, weapons ideal for Mirage are those that allow him to switch strategies immediately depending on where opponents are, and are reliable enough to fire quickly when prompted.

Primary: VK-47 Flatline (Assault Rifle, Heavy)

A rival to the R-301 Carbine in the Assault Rifle category, theVK-47 Flatlinedominates the game in terms of automatic fire in close-to-mid-range combat.

While its firing rate is not as potent as the R-301, the Flatline does excel when it comes to its decent magazine size and predictable recoil. In the hands of Mirage who always has to be prepared for quick escapes, the Flatline is a reliable shot.

Secondary: EVA-8 Auto (Shotgun, Shotgun)

Similar to other shotguns, theEVA-8 Autoalso uses exclusive Shotgun bullets. In the hands of Mirage, the EVA-8 Auto isa reliable close-range companion, especially in chaotic situations where he and his clones are busy bamboozling opponents in close-range.

While its damage output isn’t as high as the Peacekeeper, the EVA-8 Auto’s reliable hipfire, tight pellet spread, and quicker reload can make it a steadfast companion that guarantees Mirage’s survival.
