Apex Legendsis now in Season 12, known as Defiance, and players have enjoyed much of the new content on offer since its launch. An updated Olympus map, a new Legend, and afun LTM called Controlhave kept the gameplay fresh and exciting for most gamers. However, this recent update for the game has not been perfect. Despite bringing loads of new content, this season has also brought its fair share of bugs.

Recently, the latest in a long line ofmovement exploits inApex Legendswas discovered that could become an issue in online games. This new glitch was revealed in a YouTube video by RossBobSquirrel. According to the YouTuber, the glitch allowed players to dash infinitely. In addition, unlike some previous movements exploits that required the player to choose a specific Legend, such as Caustic, this one worked with every character on the roster.

RossBobSquirrel broke down exactly how to perform the exploit in-game. In order to perform the glitch, players needed to have two weapons in their inventory with attachments. The YouTuber suggested using sights, but they noted that other attachments worked as well. To begin, players needed to hold one weapon and then climb onto the side of a ledge. Once hanging from the edge, the next step was to go to the inventory and remove the attachment from the first weapon.

After completing this step, players were required to re-equip the attachment and then swap the weapons in slots 1 and 2. The YouTuber then said that players needed to exit the inventory and climb up the ledge. The last step involved punching and then pressing the ultimate button. If done correctly, this would cause them to boost forward a short amount. This move could be chained together to move large distances faster than normal. However, the YouTuber explained that it could only be accomplished on a controller inApex Legends.

It is worth mentioning that RossBobSquirrel highly recommended that players do not attempt this exploit in-game. They especially cautioned against doing it in the Ranked mode as the developers at Respawn Entertainment have recently been cracking down on those utilizing exploits to gain an unfair advantage. The YouTuber even used the term “the Taxi treatment” in reference to a content creator with the same name that was banned for repeatedly using a similar “ult-dash”exploit in Ranked games.

Time will tell how effective this glitch turns out to be in competitive games. If it becomes an issue, it will be interesting to see how the developers at Respawn Entertainment address the exploit in the coming days. Hopefully, it will not comprise thecompetitive integrity ofApex Legendsas long as it continues to remain in the battle royale.

Apex Legendsis available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, while a Mobile version is available in some regions.
